Will your retirement income cover the life you plan to live?
Estimate your monthly retirement income gap, see how much of your spending is covered, and understand the result in plain English.
Your numbers
Use today's dollars. Estimates are fine—you can change anything and recalculate.
This educational estimate is not financial, tax, or investment advice. It does not model taxes, inflation, investment growth, longevity, healthcare shocks, or changes in benefits.
Your FigureBeacon result
A quick snapshot based on the assumptions you entered.
What this means
At these assumptions, your expected retirement income falls short of your planned spending. This isn't a prediction. It's a starting point for testing which assumptions make the biggest difference.
How FigureBeacon calculates your retirement income
We add your expected monthly Social Security and pension or other guaranteed income to an estimated monthly withdrawal from your retirement savings. The savings estimate uses the annual withdrawal rate you enter, divided across 12 months. We then compare that total with your planned monthly spending.
Why this is a gap calculator—not a retirement plan
Retirement planning can involve taxes, inflation, investment returns, healthcare, longevity, required distributions, benefit changes and many other factors. This calculator intentionally answers a narrower question: based on the numbers you entered, is there a simple income-versus-spending gap worth investigating?
Try the assumptions, not just the answer
Change one number at a time. Test lower spending, different Social Security estimates, a different retirement age or a more conservative withdrawal assumption. The value is not a single magic number; it is seeing which inputs materially change your result.
